Donating to Community Care
There are many ways that you can contribute to Community Care to help us continue providing high quality support and services to children, adults, and families across Maine. Community Care is a non-profit, 501 c(3) agency that accepts charitable donations. All donations made to Community Care are considered tax-deductible.
Different Ways You May Contribute:
- You or your business may donate money to Community Care to help support and expand services for children, families, and adults in need throughout Maine. Community Care is primarily dependent on state funds, which are steadily diminishing as the need for our services increases. Your donation will assist us in our efforts to continue offering crucial mental health services throughout Maine. You may donate by check or online (using credit card or PayPal) by clicking on the Donate button below.
If you pay by check, please make your check out to Community Care and note that it is a donation on the memo line. Mail check to Community Care PO Box 936 Bangor, ME 04402.
- You may contribute to our Care Fund. The Care Fund is used to help our clients who are living in poverty and/or children with limited resources. The Care Fund was started by the employees of Community Care and has expanded to accept donations from the community and businesses. This fund is exclusively used to meet unmet and unfunded client needs in the areas of housing, food, heat, and clothing. It is also used to help children access school and extra-curricular activities, in which their less needy peers participate. Staff who know the clients and their finances may request money for specific needs after assessing their situation. Many of our employees generously donate money to this fund through payroll deduction. You may donate by a check or online by clicking here: Donate to the Care Fund Now. We are happy to acknowledge all donations on our website, in our annual report, and in agency newsletters. We also understand that some donors may wish to remain anonymous, and we will respect such requests.
