The individual who fills this position will provide direct clinical services to children and families in their homes in the above reference geographical area.  An essential component of this position is the ability to meet the needs of a broad range of clients and families, including birth, adoptive, and kinship families who are either involved with the Department of Health and Human Services; seeking home-based support services to prevent disruption; or working towards reunification.  The candidate will assist in the identification of the behavioral, medical, social, rehabilitation, and educational needs of clients and work in conjunction with providers/team to ensure the availability of appropriate services to each client.  Competitive salary and benefit package to both full time and part time (minimum 24 hours) employees.  The Candidate will provide Case Supervision to a team of Behavioral Health Professionals.

Minimum Qualifications:
LCSW, LCPC, or Ph.D., Licensed or otherwise recognized as qualified by the state in the disciplines required for the children served by the program.  Will accept LMSW Conditional II or LCPC Conditional under the provision that the individual will be fully licensed within the time frame defined by their supervisor.  M.S/M.S.N. (masters level psychiatric nurse) licensed in the State of Maine (or eligible).

  Behavioral Health Specialist  


Community Family Support Services — BHP (Behavioral Health Professional)
   Belfast - Part-time high going to Full-time

  Waterville/Newport: Part-time high going to Full-time 
   Calais - Part-time high going to Full-time


Responsibilities include providing in-home support in birth, kin, and adoptive homes; providing direct care and case management, as needed, to youth served; facilitating treatment team meetings; and writing Preliminary and Comprehensive Service and Emergency plans.  The BHP will facilitate client growth and strengthen the level of family functioning through positive professional interactions and by exhibiting behaviors and communication skills that exemplify the program philosophy.  High level of flexibility is required.

Minimum Qualifications:
Have a Bachelor's degree in a related field and professional experience working with children and families is also required.

Community Integration Case Managers

Community Care is seeking caring and motivated individuals to provide community integration for Adults coping with mental health symptoms.  This position provides case management consultation, skill teaching, development of strategies to make family life less stressful, and advocacy/coordination for service needs in an effort to reduce cycles of instability in the lives of those affected by mental illness.

Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma, MHRT/C certification, and 1-year experience in supporting adults with mental illness in the community.
